Hot Chocolate is a beloved wintertime drink. It is rich and warm and filled with great memories. But the bags at the grocery are filled with extra chemicals and often way too sweet. Instead, try this all-natural cacao blend. It is unsweetened and filled with extra health benefits.

Cardamom and reishi help to balance out the extremeness of the peppermint while also providing some warmth and additional benefits to our bodies. Supporting our parasympathetic nervous system, improving cognitive abilities, and boosting one’s mood are just some of the benefits of this luxurious blend.

And of course our dear friend cacao (Theobroma cacao). High in antioxidants and natural caffeine, this plant has a long, rich history with humans. It can enhance our cognitive function, supports our cardiovascular health, and contains many essential minerals such as magnesium, calcium, and iron.

 

This is an unsweetened blend. If you have not had raw cacao before, it is quite bitter. This blend is completely customizable in strength and sweetness, just play around with different amounts of chocolate and sweetener.
I recommend starting with a tablespoon of mix to 8oz of liquid. Enjoy hot, cold, or even added to baking or as a decorative garnish. Mix into coffee, tea, or try with milk or milk alternative.
