What is a tincture, and what are the other types of preparations?
A tincture is an alcohol extract. Plant matter is infused into alcohol, strained, and then mixed with water to achieve a 25% extract. Glycerine can also be used to make an extract for those who cannot ingest alcohol such as children, those who are allergic, and those who abstain. It is almost made exactly like an alcohol extract, except the water is added before the infusing process begins. An oxymel is a vinegar and honey extract. A herbal oil is a plant infused oil. You can also use herbal oils to make salves, which is oil mixed with beeswax to create a harder substance.

What is the shelf life and how to store?
There are many variables to the shelf life of herbal products. Please store your herbal products in a dark, cool, dry place. A cupboard is perfect. Also do not let the droppers touch your skin. This will introduce bacteria to the lot and will diminish the shelf life.
In general, alcohol extracts have a shelf life of up to 5 years with proper care, but we suggest tossing after 1 year to be safe. Glycerin extracts and oxymels have a shelf life of up to 3 years but again, we recommend tossing after 1 year. Herbal oils and salves have a shorter shelf life, typically right around 1 to 2 years. Keep an eye out for changes in smell or mold forming. Some sediment of plant material is normal in all herbal products.

How much should I take?
Usage of herbal products is so varied depending on reason of use and if it is an acute or chronic issue. For the most part, the best rule of thumb is 1-2 droppers a day. For topical products, it is suggested to use as needed. Feel free to reach out to ask about your specific circumstances.

What does it mean when it says an ingredient is wildcrafted?
This means the plant material was harvested from a wild, natural space as opposed to grown on a farm. Wildcrafted plants take more time and energy to prepare but I personally feel offer a bigger reward.

Can I return my order?
Due to the nature of our products, we cannot accept returns. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or broken orders. That will need to go through the insurance claim. All orders shipped are covered with up to $50 insurance. If you would like to purchase additional insurance, please contact us before you place your order. To file an insurance claim, go to USPS.com and enter your tracking number. You must have a photo of any damage to file the claim.

When will my order ship?
All orders are usually shipped within 4 days of the order being placed, excluding any times that will be directly stated on the site.
